The French Manicure Gets A Makeover In This Month's Marie Claire!

Step up your French manicure game with an easy embellished update...

Nail art should be left to the pros, right? WRONG! Top manicurists get artsy in the July issue of Marie Claire, with great looks to try at home. West Hollywood salon owner Hiroko Fujikawa gives a traditional french manicure a makeover, by updating the tip color and adding a simple embellishment. Fujikawa combines Zoya Nail Polish in Kalista and Zoya Nail Polish in Purity with gold square studs for a bold, graphic design with a touch of edge.

Pro Tip: "While the top coat is still wet, use a pair of tweezers to pick up a stud and place it on the top right corner of the nail. (The top coat acts as glue so it will stick.) Repeat with three more studs, placing them so they form a square."

Why we love embellishments? It's a great way to easily upgrade your mani without diving head first into elaborate nail art. No artistic skills needed - just place the embellishment and go!
