The
2010 Met Ball (
Costume Institute Gala) was held on Monday May 3, and the red carpet was filled with hot celebs- but what we want to talk about is the nails! Celebrity and Editorial Manicurist
Lisa Logan worked with many of the evenings shining stars who spent the night in lovely shades of Zoya (we can only say she was workin' it) - way to go Lisa!
First up is the ladies who chose red-
Alexa Chung and
Gwen Stefani.
Alexa went with a deeper berry red similar to
Zoya Riley or
Zoya Alix while Gwen chose a classic red that compares to
Zoya Gia or
Zoya Dominique. Reds are always in style and it is a color choice that compliments almost every outfit. Gwen wore a dress by her own label,
L.A.M.B. Alexa wore
Phillip Lim.
Next we have those who chose to go dark-
Emmy Rossum and
Kristen Stewart.
Kristen and Emmy both had black manis that could easily be recreated with
Zoya Raven, but if you feel like switching things up to give it a bit more edge you could try a matte nail using
Zoya Dovima. Black nails are not huge right now so you might choose to go another route with a dark plum like
Zoya Norra. Emmy wore a
Kenneth Cole gown.
Now we have the ladies who choose to be a bit more daring-
Chanel Iman and
Zoe Kravitz.
Zoe's nails were a dark coppery red that looks a lot like
Zoya Colbie.
Chanel was sporting that foil finish one could copy by using
Zoya Trixie or
Zoya Richelle. Minx nails have been hot for a long time now, and using the two above options is an excellent way to get the Minx look without actually getting Minx. Zoe wore a
Alexander Wang gown ( who she is picture with along with MIA) and Chanel wore
Michael Kors.
Lastly we have Toes! Yes Toes!-
Elizabeth Banks showed off her pedi in her suede platforms.
Elizabeth's toes were painted a playful pink similar to
Zoya Maya or
Zoya Elodie, which was a nice contrast to her all black get up. Elizabeth wore all
Gucci.
